RescueMeATL is a nonprofit 501(c)3 disrupting the way Atlanta responds to the shelter dog crisis. We use viral storytelling, grassroots action, and pressure on broken systems to get at-risk dogs seen, saved, and supported—proving that local advocacy can drive real change.
What started as a single Instagram account in 2024 quickly became a movement. In a city where countless shelter dogs were dying simply because no one knew they existed, we started showing their faces, telling their stories, and sounding the alarm. And it worked. Within months, others joined in—and a wave of everyday rescuers began opening their doors.
We don’t run a shelter. We’re a network of citizens, creators, and advocates working to save at-risk dogs. From urgent rescue campaigns to system-level reform, we’re not just responding to the crisis—we’re reshaping it.
We connect good dogs with the people who can save them. And we’re just getting started.
